The name 'Green Speed' means the boot is environmentally friendly and super lightweight weighing in at just 160g. This makes the boot the third lightest on the market today and the lightest boot by Nike. The boot laces, lining and tongue is made from 70% recycled materials. The boot has been worn by Brazil's Neymar and Germany's Mario Gotze. Conceived in Italy the Green Speed boot is the fastest, lightest, and greenest boot to be produced by Nike. The boot is 27g lighter than the Mercurial Vapor VIII boot. This is a limited boot so if you have worn these boots consider yourself lucky! The TPU soleplate is 15% lighter than the traditional Nike TPU. The boot features a kanga-lite upper which imitates kangaroo leather yet offers durability and flexibility, the tongue and quarter are made from fitting polyester which is manufactured from 95% recycled plastic bottles, a radically re-engineered traction plate spine for explosive speed, Pebax Renu heel counter for added comfort and stability, lightweight sockliner which adds speed and a zero waste toe board. The materials are made from 285 million bottles from landfills.
