The ninth generation, of the, by now, legendary Mercurial-collection has, like the ones before it, stormed onto the speed boot scene and conquered the hearts of everyone. With its just 185 grams it is lighter than most, but Nike have still had great success in innovating and improving the boot, with revolutionising technologies like Speed Control and ACC.

The new Nike Mercurial Vapor IX January 2014 green boot features some stunning and very interesting design elements. Even the 98Mercurial boot is inspired by the 1998 Mercurial Boot, the similiraties between both boots are not as easy to be seen compared to the three other World Cup inspired Mercurial boots.

The first Mercurial Vapor IX 2014 Boot is mainly green with a gradient to turquoise and comes with orange applications in contrast. Something quite exciting about this Nike Mercurial Vapor IX Colorway is the silver tongue and the lettering 98M on the side of the boot, which honours the first Mercurial Boot released back in 1998 from which Nike made a special 15 years anniversary edition.
